Gator Wrap Specifications


Infi-Shield 6, 9 or 12” Gator Wrap Specification Each manhole, catch basin or pipe joint shall be sealed with an external rubber sleeve similar to the Infi-Shield Gator Wrap as manufactured by Sealing Systems, Inc. (763-478-2057). The seal shall be made of a Stretchable, Self-Shrinking, Intra-Curing Halogenated Based Rubber with a minimum thickness of 30 mils. The back side of each unit shall be coated with a cross-linked re-enforced butyl adhesive. The butyl adhesive shall be non-hardening sealant, with a minimum thickness of 30 mils. The seal shall be designed to stretch around the substrate then overlapped creating a cross-link and fused bond between the rubber and butyl adhesive. The application shall form a continuous rubber seal that applies inward pressure on the protected area for the life of the application. The butyl adhesive and the inward pressure exerted on the substrate will prevent the intrusion of water and soil through the joint sections of a manhole, catch basin or concrete pipe.
